What an incredible evening! We are still in awe of how the Lord provided and how our community showed up with such joy and generosity. Over 125 friends, neighbors, supporters, and ministry partners filled the room for our first-ever Light Up the Night fundraising event. From beginning to end, the night was a celebration of God’s faithfulness and the shared mission we carry together.
We opened the evening with a heartfelt message from one of Lighthouse Thriftique’s founders and former board president, Pastor Bink Garbutt, who reminded us why we do what we do: to shine the light of Christ and serve our community with compassion and integrity. His words set the perfect tone for the night.
Our DJ, John Bellamy, kept the atmosphere lively with great music all evening long — and no one complained once, which is basically a miracle at any event involving a DJ and a room full of opinions. Then came Mr. Campbell, our auctioneer, who led the dessert auction with the perfect blend of energy, humor, and holy mischief. Not only did he help raise funds, he also raised the heartbeat of the room every time a bidding war broke out (all in good fun, of course).
And now for the real testimony of the evening:

This overwhelming generosity will directly strengthen the ministry work happening through Lighthouse Thriftique. Every dollar helps us:
- Improve and maintain our store so we can continue serving with excellence
- Support our indoor and outdoor food pantries
- Sustain our growing daily meal program
- Expand our Take & Make Meal Kits to reach even more families in need
These programs are changing lives, meeting real needs, and opening doors for Gospel-centered compassion in our community.
To everyone who attended, donated, bid, served, volunteered, baked desserts, or simply prayed over this night — thank you. Your love and generosity help us keep shining the light of Christ into the lives of those who need hope, help, and encouragement.
